Stephen Stasheski - Director of Construction
As Director of Construction, Steve is involved in all phases of project planning, entitlement and construction activities for UrbanMeritage. His property entitlement experience allows UrbanMeritage to control the permitting process and minimize regulatory delays. Steve works extensively on selecting qualified contractors and supervising all field operations to ensure UrbanMeritage properties are built to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Prior to joining UrbanMeritage in 2016, Steve worked for 10 years with Turner Construction, one of the largest construction management firms in the U.S. Having overseen hundreds of projects in all sectors totaling well over $500M, he has extensive experience with construction cost controls, estimating, site supervision, material expediting, construction engineering and project management. Steve’s niche expertise in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings in Boston brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead of each project.
Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. He is a MA Licensed Construction Supervisor and MA Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, a LEED-AP and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Steve lives in Brookline, MA with his wife and son, commutes to work by bicycle year-round, and is committed to riding the Pan-Mass Challenge every year.
